ver
since childhood fairytales and myths have fascinated me. I was often
found sketching animals and various mystical creatures. But, I never
ended up pursuing art in my studies.
n 2000
I received my general medicine degree in Colombia, South America. Shortly
thereafter I began interacting with patients who consisted of mostly
children. Every morning I would surprise them with a new animal drawing
on the board, taking great pride in making them smile. I realized my
art could make them happy. As a doctor, I eased their pain physically
but as an artist I was able to make them forget that they were sick.
n
my spare time I would experiment with colors and try to create new techniques
for my paintings. Bold, vivid colors and fantastic scenarios are essential
to Pilyart. My paintings reveal the love I have for animals, the memories
I have of my childhood, and the time I had spent with the sick children
at the hospital.
he reaction
I receive from people to my works of all ages is very encouraging to
me. I love the smiles my paintings bring out. I wish for you to enjoy
each one of them as much as I've enjoyed painting them

"How beautifully imaginative your artwork is. Not
only is it a playground for childrens' fantasy, but also a reminder
for adults of the wonderland where they once, and sometimes still escape
to."
